Bibliocité is the network of the Ville de Paris public libraries, connected with the Bibliothèque Nationale de France, from whom it received one item of each copyright until the end of 2014.
Bibliocité contribute to the project through the Bibliothèque des Littératures Policières (BILIPO), which is the sole Institution in France (and in the world) entirely dedicated to mystery and spy novels. It is a main actor, since 1984, in preserving and developing the legacy which it contributed to legitimate after a long period of dereliction from the cultural Institutions. BILIPO displays fiction (10, 000 books) and a gathering of 12,000 books of reference on mystery novels, criminology, forensics, police force, justice and criminal cases. Magazines, press articles, posters, music scores, book covers photographs and promotional materials are among the items you find in its collection.

Carole Médrinal
Carole Médrinal, after 15 years experience in the media (press and radio), 11 years in the museums (national ones), is managing Bibliocité since 2007. She developed the production of the exhibitions for the City of Paris network of patrimonial and specialized libraries. Around 50 exhibitions were produced in the field of photography, graphic art and art deco as well as literary ones like Rimbaudmania or Gallimard and many crime novel authors for the Bilipo.
Hélène Dhoosche
Hélène Dhoosche, is the administrative and financial manager of Bibliocité since 2011. She has 18 years experience in the performing art and public reading domains in the same position. She also assists Carole Medrinal in the production of exhibitions for the City of Paris network of patrimonial and specialized libraries.
Catherine Chauchard
Catherine Chauchard, Chief Librarian, head of the BILIPO since 1995, arranged many cultural events about the Mystery novels (shows, symposiums, exhibitions, lectures, debates). She also published bibliographies (“Les Crimes de l’année”) and co-authored exhibition catalogues.
Alain Regnault
Alain Regnault, Librarian, assistant to Mme Chauchard since 1995, plays a part in all creative activities of the BILIPO (bibliographies, exhibitions, symposiums). He also is an active member of numerous mystery novel Book Awards’ panel of judges.
