Building the infrastructure
Resources and tools for the semantic mapping of European transcultural identity
This work package aims to provide an efficient technological framework for the study of European transcultural identity in popular narratives, with special reference to the observation contained in the ET2020 Working group document, “Transforming Higher Education: How We Teach in the Digital Era” (2017), that “portals for high quality digital learning materials, tools and assessment” are needed “to facilitate the move from traditional teaching to blended learning”.
WP3 has the following goals:
To support the analysis of the representation and circulation of European identity in European popular culture through the implementation of a multifunctional digital infrastructure for the integration of research and learning activities in formal and informal educational contexts;
To highlight the importance of European popular culture for a transcultural appreciation of European identity, by making available to Internet users a set of innovative learning materials through DETECt portal and MOOC;
To contribute to a semantic mapping of the translocal content of European identity through the development of a Web mobile App.
